- Subject: International Modems
-
- There has recently been discussion regarding the legality of using modems
- in different countries (e.g. using a US modem in Japan).
-
- I will soon be equipping a globetrotting workforce with laptops and
- modems. These folks will be visiting many different countries with the
- intention using the modems to access the corporate network.
-
- Given that the Sportster, for example, cannot be used in multiple
- countries, are there any modems that are certified for use within
- multiple countries -- an international modem, as it were.
-
- Thanks for your input.
